Runes are the currency and experience points in FromSoftware's new game Elden Ring. Players can collect them from enemies and locations around The Lands Between but may be lost upon death unless reclaimed at a previous location.

Stormveil Great Rune

Elden Ring can make collecting Great Runes tricky as they don't simply drop from defeating any boss; players must visit specific Divine Towers in order to activate them; in some cases this requires feeding seeds directly to a Demigod for activation.

Farum Azula Great Rune

The Farum Azula Great Rune is one of the most powerful runes in the game. It can increase both player damage and defense by 7%, and can be activated at any Site of Grace.

Although they cannot be spent or lost, they do need to be powered up periodically; this can be accomplished by scaling one of The Lands Between's Grand Divine Towers.
