Passive Skill Tree – Refinements and Path of Exile 2 Currency Changes
POE 1:
Massive Passive Tree: The original Path of Exile is known for its colossal passive skill tree, offering near-infinite build diversity. However, it could be overwhelming for new players, and some of the nodes felt redundant or niche, making the system challenging to navigate.
Complexity: The sheer number of nodes made it difficult for players to understand the optimal paths, especially for those just starting out. Some builds required external guides to fully optimize.
POE 2:
Refined Passive Tree: POE 2 keeps the core concept of the massive passive tree, but it has been reworked for greater clarity and balance. While the complexity remains, the tree is now more intuitive, with better guidance for new players and clearer connections between nodes.
New Pathing Options: The new passive tree has more flexible options for combining different ascendancies and stat allocations, allowing for more hybrid builds.
Improved UI: POE 2 offers a better UI for the passive tree, making it easier to visualize the character’s progression and cheap POE 2 Exalted Orbs planned routes, helping players make more informed decisions.
